Nurturing Your Child
Workshop Series
Two series of workshops for parents of infants
and toddlers covering child development, parenting
issues such as discipline and coping with challenging
behavior, stress reduction (for the parent),
infant massage and much more.
• Eligibility: Parents of infants and
toddlers from all Hilltowns. All services are
free to eligible participants.

Families Together Program
Provides parenting
workshops, self-defense workshops for mothers/daughters
and also for boys, family book groups, individual
counseling and consultation and early literacy counseling
and books.
• Eligibility: Residents of Chesterfield, Cummington,
Plainfield, Goshen, Williamsburg and Worthington.
Free to participants.

Reach Out and Read Program
A program that provides
a new book to every child under age 6 when they come
in for a well-child examination. Their doctor gives
them the book and speaks with parents about early
literacy and the benefits of reading aloud to children.
• Eligibility: All Hilltown Community Health
Center patients ages 6 months through 5 years.
• Access is automatic with well-child appointment.
• Funded by: The Reach Out and Read National
