- Bio: I was born, raised, and continue to live locally. Receiving my primary education in Westfield, MA, then transferred to Gateway Regional High School in Huntington, MA. First studying Nursing at Roger L. Putnam VTHS in Springfield and then furthering my education at Holyoke Community College where I earned my associate’s degree.Learning more only increased my need for more knowledge and experience in Nursing. Kaplan University Online facilitated my desire to secure a Bachelor of Science in Nursing where I also graduated with honors.
Given the support, positive feedback from my instructors, mentors, patients, and family I felt that I could reach the goal of becoming a Doctor of Nursing. In 2013 I completed my Capstone project featuring the MOLST form. This was designed to help providers, patients, and families to discuss options. Facilitate sharing information with friends, family members, and others important to the patient to support informed decision making.
Teaching, empowering, and investing with patients is one way of supporting them to participate and benefit from meaningful medical encounters.
