Medical/Dental Receptionist–Amherst

Seeking full-time Medical/Dental Receptionist for our newest location in Amherst, MA. Work in a brand new, state-of-the-art health center setting located in downtown Amherst. Candidate should have 1-3 years’ experience working in a medical practice and ability to work well with others. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Preference for those who speak Spanish. Knowledge of provider scheduling a plus. Comfort level with computers a must; experience with an EMR a plus.

Dentist

Hilltown Community Health Centers, Inc. provides primary medical care, general dentistry, mental health, optometry, community outreach, and physical therapy in three different sites – Huntington, Worthington, and at our newest location in Amherst, Massachusetts. We also offer full medical and full dental services in the school based health center at Gateway Regional Middle/High School. Our mobile dental clinic also provides services to local elementary schools and is in the process of extending to additional school districts. We’re seeking a dentist to join our growing multi-site team.

We have a very caring and dedicated staff of 31, many who have been with us for 10-20 years. Our staff includes 9 full or part-time dentists and 9 full or part- time hygienists with varying levels of experience. We provide quality dental care including emergency treatment, endodontics, extractions, amalgam and composite restorations, crown and bridge work, implant restorations, full and partial dentures, soft tissue management, and early childhood caries risk management program for kids starting at age one. We are working to increase our interdepartmental integration to provide fully integrated care to our patients. We treat a full range of patients including many seniors and children. Although a high percentage of our patients are low income, we also treat insurance and self-pay patients who live in our rural area. We have excellent specialists available for necessary referrals and advice. Future plans are to expand care to local assisted living/nursing homes.

The health centers are located in the beautiful foothills of the Berkshire Mountains in Western Massachusetts. We are a 30 minute drive from Northampton and Westfield as well as other towns in Pioneer Valley which is also home to the 5 college area of Smith, Amherst, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke, and UMass. Quality of life is excellent with numerous recreational, cultural, and educational opportunities. Hiking, biking, skiing, river canoeing and kayaking, jazz clubs, plays, 5 college art and entertainment series, film and music festivals, great restaurants, local artists and artisans with numerous galleries, studios and craft fairs. Entry level salary will commensurate with experience with possible eligibility for state and federal educational repayment programs. Excellent benefits include 4 weeks’ vacation, paid sick leave, personal and holiday time, continuing education time and compensation, malpractice, health and dental insurance, as well as payment of licensing fees.

Requirements include: Current Massachusetts Dentist License required, Graduate of an accredited dental school, Current DEA and MA controlled substance licenses, Continuation of education to maintain skills and meet MA requirements of 40 CEU per two years, Competent clinical skills, Experience in Pediatric dentistry a plus, Spanish speaking a plus.

Physician Assistant / Family Nurse Practitioner – Amherst

Hilltown Community Health Center (HCHC) is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our growing multi-site primary care practice at our newest location in Amherst.

HCHC currently employs six physicians and five nurse practitioners, and operates two rural primary care clinics and a school-based health center in Western Massachusetts. We are opening a third primary care clinic in urban Amherst in early, 2018. Behavioral health and dental services are offered at all sites; optometry care is also available in one location. A strong community services program provides a range of supportive programs, including community outreach workers.

Massachusetts PA/RN/NP license and Board certification required. Spanish language skills are highly valued. Applicants should have a strong commitment to community health and care of underserved populations.
