Registration is now open for our FREE School Readiness Program for families with three to five year old children at our Hilltown Family Center located at 9 Russell Road in Huntington, MA. The Hilltown Family Center initiated our School Readiness Program in keeping with the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care’s commitment to providing school readiness for all children. We use the Early Childhood Program Standards and Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences that are aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework in development of our curriculum.
Our program meets on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 beginning September 12th. Parents attend the class with their child. Each class has a central theme which allows the integration of activities that support the curriculum and the development of children’s emerging interests. Themes provide concept development through a variety of “hands on” “minds on” and “feelings on” activities.
Funding for this program has been provided from the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care through the Hilltown Community Health Center.
